12/28/1983 The Beach Boys drummer Dennis Wilson drowned, after a third dive under a friend's boat in an attempt to find an object he had drunkenly thrown off his own boat three years earlier. Dennis was the only true surfer in The Beach Boys, and with the help of President Reagan, was given a burial at sea, which only those who worked at sea usually get.
